We Have a Winner in the True Blood Book Contest!

We have a winner in the True Blood book contest! The winner is:

Jen of Pop Culture Curmudgeon! Congratulations!

Folks, go check out Jen’s site. It’s a cool site about the latest in pop culture. I just spent the last few minutes getting my gossip on. It’s an addictive site.

Jen, check your email for a message from me.

Thanks to everyone that entered the contest. I plan to have another contest to give away other books as well. I tend to buy so many books I end up purchasing duplicates. As such I’ve got duplicates of some really good urban fantasy books that I plan to give away.

Tootles.

Yay! I do love to win things! I’ll report back after I read the book. Here’s my question: should I wait until this season is over to read it?

That’s a tough one because the first book reveals the identity of the killer responsible for murdering 2 of the Merlotte’s waitresses and Sookie’s grandmother. I think this season will end with Sookie finding out who the killer is.

However, you could start reading the book (since it provides lots of interesting backstory on the main characters) but end before page 246, which is when the killer is revealed.

As you can see, I’m torn on this one. It depends on whether you have enough self control to put the book down once you start reading it. Since Charlaine Harris is such a good writer you might have a hard time doing that!

Maybe I’ll start it as the season draws to a close. Then I won’t have to pace myself too much. Thanks!
