True Blood Minisodes Start May 2nd
Alan Ball has written 6 minisodes of True Blood that will be broadcast on HBO starting Sunday, May 2nd.
Hurrah!
These episodes are NOT from Season 2 and will NOT be shown during Season 3. They’re supposed to provide answers to some of the mysteries surrounding Season 1 and Season 2 and set the stage for True Blood Season 3.
I’m so excited!
Here’s what I hope will happen in the minisodes:
1. Maryann Forrester: I hope they include Maryanne and provide some back story on her. I know people hated her but I absolutely LOVED her. Why? Because she was a true villain. Alan Ball didn’t try to glamorize her and the evil she engaged in. She was a straight up baddie with no regrets. Okay, I know she was wacko, but from an entertainment perspective, you have to give props to Michelle Forbes for doing such a great job with this character.
2. Lafayette’s Disappearance: Remember at the end of Season One when we saw Lafayette outside Merlotte’s yelling because something was charging at him? We then saw (in the last episode of True Blood Season 1) the foot in the back of Andy Belefluer’s car and wondered if it was Lafayette’s manicured footsie. If you’ll remember, for a while there Lafayette was missing and we thought he was dead. But we never found out: a) who actually attacked him outside Merlotte’s; b) how he came to be a prisoner in Eric’s dungeon; and c) why Eric wants him to continue selling “V”.
3. Miss Jeanette’s Death: Exactly how was Miss Jeanette killed and put in the back of Andy’s car? What transpired between she and Maryann to cause Maryann to kill her?
4. Amy Burley: How did Amy Burley happen upon Bon Temps? Was she simply traveling around looking for a new place to settle? Or did she specifically choose Bon Temps because of the vampires?

Marianne needs to be gone and stay gone. Her story line does not do anything for the series that is already so wonderful!
I hope they introduce the Bubba character. He is AWESOME!!!

Marianne actually had alot to do with the series, But you would understand it more if you read the books! I do wish Allan Ball would stick more to the books, and especially incloude Bubba
I thought Jason met Amy at Fantasia and she was this “wild child” who was simply traveling. He, being the horndog he is, brought her home with him and within time, she developed feelings for him.
I could be totally wrong, but that was my take on it.
Marianne was a maenad who came to Bon Temps because of the chaos surrounding Tara and her mother. Maenads are attracted to chaos, so she goes where thats happening. Miss Jeanette was what Marianne saw as her offering for being there. Lafayette was kidnapped by Erics people and he was to continue selling V so that Eric could keep tabs on who was buying it. Bubba cant be cast without paying a lot in royalties for using his likeness, so I dont see that happening. Amy just happened to meet Jason at Fangtasia while she was looking for a V dealer and then her and jason began a relationship. Her background was irrelavent because she only existed in the first season and only for the part of the V.
