Here’s what happens in True Blood Episode 7 – Burning House of Love:
No Morning After Cuddles for Sookie: Well, Sookie is no longer a virgin thanks to vampire Bill. Unfortunately, she’ll never have morning after sex with him because during the day he has to sleep in a hole dug inside a closet.
Skeletons In the Closet: While sharing a bath she reveals that her Uncle Bartlett used to touch her inappropriately. The event still haunts Sookie but actually affects Bill even worse. As such, he exacts his own form of vengeance on Sookie’s behalf.
Jason “Fix”ation with V: Jason visits Lafayette seeking more V but is turned away. After attempting to steal his grandmother’s jewelry (Sookie catches him before he gets away) he eventually makes his way to Fangtasia, the vampire bar in Shrevport, hoping to obtain more of the substance. Fortunately for him, Amy Burley, a young woman at the bar, stops him from getting hurt. She goes back to his place with him. I like Amy’s character. She’s an intelligent girl who comes from what sounds to be an affluent family. However, she’s also reveres the magical nature of V and shares her philosophy on the substance with Jason while they snort it.
There may be more to Amy than meets the eye. She may be a magical or supernatural creature. I’m sure we’ll see more of her in later episodes.
Sookie Kisses and Tells: Now tell me how much sense this makes: 2 women have been killed because of their intimate association with vampires. Sookie’s own grandmother was killed because Sookie, the intended victim, wasn’t at home at the time. But yet, Sookie announces to the entire Merlotte bar that she’s had sex with Bill. What was she thinking?
The Devil in Miss Thornton: Tara’s mother, convinced there’s a demon inside her making her an alcoholic, convinces Tara to pay $445 for an exorcism. It’s sad to see her mother so convinced that some evil spirit inside her is making her drink. Tara sees this and agrees to give her the money and takes her to the voodoo doctor. The ritual itself is brilliantly filmed and dramatized. It’s dark, mysterious, and thoroughly entertaining. It’s also pretty convincing. I’m thinkin’ maybe Tara’s mother was on to something . . . .
Tara Has Intimacy Issues, Part II: Although Sam and Tara are supposed to be friends with benefits Sam clearly wants more of an emotional commitment from Tara. Tara, one assumes because of her childhood, has trouble expressing her feelings.
Sam, My Hero: Malcolm and his killer vampire buddies decide to go looking for “food” at Merlotte’s. Not the synthetic Tru-Beverage stuff, but the real deal. Since Sam doesn’t take too kindly to people wanting to suck on the neck of his customers he has a stand-off with Malcolm. Before things get too much out of hand Bill appears and intervenes. He leaves with the thugs in order to get them out of the bar.
Come on Baby, Light My Fire: Malcolm and his vampire thugs seriously underestimate the vigilante nature of some of the human thugs in Bon Temps. You see, they don’t cotton to strangers trying to threaten and harass the townspeople. That’s their job. As such, a few of them take matters into their own hands and well . . . . let’s just say that Malcolm won’t be around for Season 2.
Weirdest Scene in the Episode: Sam Merlotte running naked through the woods. I really like Sam’s character but Jason has a nicer butt.

I’m with you on Jason’s butt. It is much better than Sam’s. But, I’m getting awfully tired of seeing it in every episode. His addictions are not the most interesting part of the show!
Agreed.
I’d like to know more about Amy and whether she’s a magical creature. She’s mentioned a few times in Dead Until Dark but she’s not a character that we ever “see” – she’s simply referenced.
It will be interesting to see how they develop her character on the show.
