Amanda Hocking’s Hollows Series to Continue as Graphic Novel

Amanda Hocking is my hero. She wrote her first bunch of novels as self-published e-books, soon selling over a million copies of the books. Then she signed a print publishing deal with St. Martin’s and now the gal has a graphic novel deal with Dynamite Entertainment. She is, in the words of my fellow blogger and long time friend at The Beat Heidi MacDonald, an internet sensation.

The series that will be appearing as a graphic novel is The Hollows, and although it would have been easy for them to just adapt the books, Amanda says on her blog that she will be working with the company to produce totally new material. They have not decided if she will be writing it, although it is well known that Amanda Hocking is a comic book fan and she has said she would love to script them herself. The real question is whether she will have the time, as she is in the midst of producing new books and doing signing tours as well right now.

But she will have complete creative control and has assured her fans that she will be actively involved in the creation of the books and will have final script approval of all writing if she finds she doesn’t have the time for it herself.
