She’s working as the research assistant at the detective agency they founded, and when they take off on a romantic vacation alone, leaving her in charge, Savannah finds herself itching for a case to call her own. (She’s also itching for Adam, her longtime friend and colleague, to see her as more than just a little girl, but that’s another matter.)

Suddenly, Savannah gets the chance she’s been waiting for: Recruited by another supernatural detective, she travels to Columbus, Washington, a small, dying town. Two troubled young women have been found in an abandoned warehouse, murdered. Now a third woman’s dead, and on closer inspection small details point to darker forces at play. True Blood Season 3 FINALE!

True Blood Season 3 Finale

Highlights From The True Blood Season 3 FINALE:

Eric and Russell are outside handcuffed together for a bit of suntanning. Suddenly, Godric appears to Eric, tell him “Forgiveness is all. Love is All. Only peace follows death. You must forgive him.” I just LOVE Godric.

Sookie has a Close Encounter of the Third Kind of dream about fairyland but wakes up before being beamed up by the mother ship. She realizes Eric and Russell are dying outside and runs out into the sun to save them. However, since they’re handcuffed together she hesitates, since she’s not strong enough to break them apart. Interestingly enough, Russell taunts Sookie and tells her that she is INDEED powerful enough to break the handcuffs. It works because she breaks the steel holding them together and drags Eric inside. Sookie gives Eric some of her blood in order to save him. When he awakens, he asks Sookie to go back outside to save Russell, because of Godric’s ghostly request. She complies but ruthlessly drags Russell in by wrapping a silver chain around his neck.

Sam and Tara share a “morning after” breakfast during which Sam confesses to her that he’s a shape shifter. Tara freaks out a bit about it with a “woe is me, I can’t seem to get a break with men” lament.

Tara goes home and sees her mother in a compromising position with the local minister, who happens to be married. Tara, instead of raging at her mother, actually wishes her mother well in her endeavors.

Russell, who’s REALLY fried, is still talking smack. You’d think the guy would get a clue and be a bit grateful that he didn’t die. On the other hand, I guess you have to admire his spunk. Sookie is pissed off at both Bill and Eric for putting her life in danger AGAIN and tell them: “go crawl back into your holes you freaky cold freaks”. Ouch. Sounds like Sookie’s a bit tired of the vampire drama in her life.

I’m starting to like Russell’s style. Sookie has the job of guarding him at Fangtasia while the other vamps sleep. Russell, forever the wheeler dealer, attempts to bribe her with the gift of 5 million dollars and his home in Mississippi. Sookie, who has become EVIL Sookie, sprays his face with the silver spray that Pam used on Bill in a previous episode (thanks Gigi!). She then pours Talbot’s remains down the drain and grinds him up in the garbage disposer.

And she’s LAUGHING while she does this!

Poor Hoyt. His mother, his midget ex-girlfriend and a boozing high school guidance counselor conduct an intervention with him, attempting to persuade him to dump baby vamp Jessica. IT DOESN’T WORK. As a matter of fact, Hoyt purchases a house for he and Jessica. But alas, Mama isn’t going down like that. She purchases a shotgun at the local store with the intent of going after Jessica and her son.

Lafayette arrives at work early and, while Sam is opening up Merlotte’s, has a vision where he sees Sam with blood on his hands. I’m telling you, since Miss La La drank V his hidden powers have come out.

While working at Merlotte’s he also sees a vision of Rene attempting to strangle Arlene. He freaks out and calls Jesus for help. That’s Jesus, his friend in the show. When Jesus shows up he tells Lafayette that he’s a witch that was taught magic.

Crystal’s crazy ass brother shoots his father, then takes her away before the SWAT team raids their little Hotshot paradise. Crystal asks Jason to look after her people while she’s gone. Jason is later arrested for warning Crystal’s brother about the raid.

Poor Tara. She’s got such a crappy life. There’s a moment in Sookie’s bathroom where she grabs some scissors and stares at herself in the mirror. Yes, at first we think she’s going to attempt suicide again but she uses the scissors to cut her hair. She then leaves and drives by Merlotte’s. She pauses outside the bar and then drives off into the night.

Bill and Eric dump Russell into a large pit and cover him with cement. I like how they had a full-size cement truck handy. Bill holds out his hand as if he wants to shake with Eric but instead, pushes Eric into a pit and COVERS HIM WITH CEMENT. He then makes a phone call, disguising his voice to sound like Eric’s and orders someone to kill Pam! Aarrgh!

But alas, Eric frees himself and finds Bill at Sookie’s house. Where he proceeds to tell Sookie that Bill had an ulterior motive for getting to know Sookie. He implies that Bill never really cared for Sookie. Sookie, feeling betrayed by Bill, kicks him out of her house.

Sam tracks down his little brother in the woods at night. They argue, his brother turns away, and Sam shoots him in the back. I think.

Queen Sophie Ann visits Bill all dressed in black, but pretty darn happy that Russell is dead. She orders Bill to bring Sookie to him. Bill reveals that he has NOT brought Sookie but has instead, set a trap for the Queen, telling her that only one of them will leave the house alive.

Sookie, distraught about her life, visits her Gran’s gravesite. She’s visited by Claudine, her fairy cousin, as well as other faeries. Claudine encourages Sookie to leave the human world and go with her to the fae world. Sookie reaches out to touch Claudine and THEY ALL DISAPPEAR!

Questions:
-Where did Sookie go?
-Will Bill succeed in killing Queen Sophie Ann?
-Did Tara leave Bon Temps, never to return?
-Is Russell dead?
-Did Sam kill his own brother?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
